Handmade in Madrid, Spain in 2022 by Leonard Plattner, successor to Arcángel Fernández’s legendary workshop and heir to the Santos–Barbero–Fernández tradition. Built using Fernández’s original tools, templates, and tonewoods, this Blanca carries forward the pure Madrid school aesthetic and sound.

 

Featherweight and exquisitely responsive, it has that old, hollow Santos-style voice — dry, open, and deeply resonant, with woody basses, lyrical trebles, and quick, percussive attack. Despite its light build, the projection is powerful and the tone refined, combining vintage character with modern precision.
